Donald Berman has been on the frontlines of new music scholarship, performance and recording for over 30 years. He has been a Fellow at Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Studies, guest lecturer at Northeastern University, and Advisor to the Boston Jewish Music Festival. He is currently President of the Charles Ives Society and General Editor of the recently published multi-volume Charles E. Ives: Shorter Works for Piano. His recordings can be found on 12 different labels, including a highly praised series of four CDs of unknown and under-appreciated American music, Americans in Rome, curated by Mr. Berman over a ten-year period. A pianist and scholar of exceptional gifts, he currently serves on the faculty of Tufts University and is Chair of the Piano Department of the Longy School of Music of Bard College.
