Biography:

Originally from Regina, Saskatchewan, Carman J. Price is one of Vancouver’s most versatile tenors. He studied jazz at Capilano University and has led his own group with some of Vancouver’s premier jazz musicians, appearing at the Vancouver International Jazz Festival and Frankie’s Jazz Club many times. In 2015 he was invited to be a featured soloist with the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra paying tribute to Frank Sinatra. Carman has recorded two albums of jazz standards, I Do (2011) and I Will (2021), with Bill Coon (guitar) and Rene Worst (bass).

Carman is also one of Vancouver’s most in-demand choral singers. He has been a member of the acclaimed vocal ensemble musica intima and appears on their albums o nata lux (2008) and the JUNO-nominated into light (2010). As a member of the Vancouver Chamber Choir, Carman has often been a featured soloist, including for their 2014 performance of Mozart’s Requiem.
